Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Paro and sightseeing:
Your guide will receive you at the airport and then drive you to the Hotel.
After lunch, visit to:
The Ta Dzong or National Museum of Bhutan.
Below the museum is the Paro Dzong built in 1646 by Shabdrung.
In the evening, visit to a Typical Bhutanese Farm house.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 02: Paro – Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery:

Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang) Monastery.
After breakfast, hike to spectacular Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery (2 hours walk).
After lunch, visit to Kichu Lhakhang built by Srongtsen Gampo in 659 A.D.
Drugyal Dzong built in the 17th century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
In the evening, free to stroll in the town for shopping and photography.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 03: Paro – Jele Dzong (8 km, 1090 m ascent, 3 hours):
Start the hike from Damchena to Jele Dzong. Above your camp are Jele La (3400 m) and Jele Dzong.
Dinner and overnight in camp. Altitude 3480 m
Day 04: Jele Dzong – Jangchulakha (10 km, walking time 3 – 4 hours. 310 m ascent, 50 m descent):
The trail takes us through the forests of rhododendrons.
Dinner and overnight in camp. Altitude 3770 m.

Jimilangtsho Lake.
Day 05: Jangchulakha – Jimilangtso (11 Km, walking time 4 hours. 330 m ascent, 230 m descent:
A short climb following the ridge from where you can see the beautiful Mt. Jumolhari and other mountains. We camp at Jimilangtsho Lake (3,700 m).
Dinner and overnight in Camp.
Day 06. Jimilangtsho – Tshaluna (9 kms – 4 hrs) – Thimphu:
After breakfast, start walking down hill following a stream till Tshalu ney.
Your vehicle will pick you up at Tshaluna. The Trek ends here and we bid farewell to the trekking crew members. Your vehicle will drive you to Thimphu.
Relax in the hotel.
Day 07. Thimphu sightseeing:
Memorial Chorten
National Memorial Chorten.
After breakfast, we visit:
National Memorial Chorten (1974) built in honor of our Late King, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Dupthop Lhakhang nunnery.
National Library, stocked with ancient Buddhist manuscripts.
The Painting School where traditional art is still kept alive through instructions in the art of painting Thangkas.
After lunch, visit to
The Tallest Statue of Sitting Buddha in the world (51.5m)
Witness Archery Match.
Other highlights include a visit to the Tashichho Dzong, the office of the King.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 08: Thimphu – Punakha – Thimphu: (Altitude 1310 m) (76 Km, 2 hrs drive):
After breakfast, drive to Punakha via Dochu La Pass (3100 m):

Dochula Pass with its 108 stupas.
Visit 108 stupas at the Dochu La Pass and also view the Higher Himalayas.
Temple of Fertility built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley in the year 1499.
After lunch, visit to:
Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 09. Thimphu – Paro (Departure):
After breakfast, drive to the airport and farewell.
